Origins is going to Disney World!
We are pleased to announce that Jones-Clayton Construction has selected Origins to design a home for the Estate section of the new Golden Oak community at Walt Disney World. Golden Oak is a one-of-a-kind, luxury residential resort community located on Disney property. Golden Oak, named after Walt Disney’s Golden Oak Ranch in California, will offer single-family, custom homes priced between approximately $1.5 million and $8 million, with fewer than 30 home sites available for sale this year.
On our boards is a 7,000 square foot, two-story home, featuring a contemporary floor plan with a Tuscan elevation. The home will have six bedrooms and seven and one-half baths surrounding a luxurious swimming pool. The master suite and guest suite feature pocket sliding doors allowing direct access into the pool. The pool cabana includes in-pool seating and the breakfast bistro sits atop the pool's edge. Beamed ceilings, sunken sitting areas, lofts, wine rooms with fireplaces, and outdoor firepits are just some of the exciting elements included in this unique home design. Parking areas include a three-car garage, as well as a Personal Electric Vehicle garage.
We are pleased to be part of this exciting new venture at Disney World, and will keep you updated with the latest design details as they emerge.

Origins' Concept Plan 2010

While the home is very affordable and simple to build, and is adaptable to various lifestyles, we saw an interesting opportunity to adapt the plan to our specific regional market, using the same envelope and square footage. some adjustments we made were: moving the living area to the rear of the home, a garage that is connected via a loggia, and a full size laundry room. Bedroom sizes were increased to make them more usable. This plan is our response to an affordable, efficient, and liveable home:
